23-year-old shot during argument at party in Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE, DE – A party in Bridgeville turned fatal Sunday night when a 23-year-old man was shot during a confrontation with an unidentified man.

At approximately 7:01 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to a call from the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive.

Upon arrival, troopers found Orbby Holder of Bridgeville, Delaware, with gunshot wounds.

Holder was taken to a nearby hospital, where was pronounced dead.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit, which is now leading the investigation, discovered that the incident occurred during a party when an unknown man confronted Holder.

The confrontation escalated, and the suspect shot Holder with a handgun before fleeing the scene.
