24-Year-Old Dead In D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 24-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in Northwest, D.C. Detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department are investigating the homicide.

Shortly before 5 pm, officers arrived at the 900 Block of Decatur Street to investigate a report of a shooting. At the location, police found the gunshot victim. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

24-year-old Aaron Derricott, Jr., of Northwest, D.C., was identified as the victim.
