24-Year-Old Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Essex

ESSEX, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday in Essex, leaving a 24-year-old man dead.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Crash Team responded to the scene near Route 702 and E. Homberg Avenue following reports of the crash on January 13, 2025.

Authorities determined that a 2006 Subaru Outback, driven by Kahron Thompson, struck and overrode a curb before colliding with a traffic barrier.

Thompson was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
