24-Year-Old Man Shot and Killed in the Bronx

BRONX, NEW YORK – A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest early Saturday morning at 1070 Elder Avenue, according to police from the 43rd Precinct.

At approximately 2:38 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at the stated address. Upon arrival, they found the man, later identified as Henry Reyes of 1071 Elder Avenue, Bronx, with a gunshot wound to the chest. EMS rushed Reyes to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information related to this incident to come forward.
