24-Year-Old Shot And Killed in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A shooting shortly after midnight on Friday left an unidentified man dead. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting.

Just before 12:30 am, police officers arrived at Anacostia Road in Southeast D.C. to investigate a shooting report. At the location, police found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  

24-year-old Stephon Carroll of D.C. was identified as the victim. An initial investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 4400 block of E Street.
