25-year-old shot in face, neck in Columbus

Yesterday, August 29, 2021 at 1:35pm, Columbus Police Patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Stevens Ave. and W. Broad St. on a report of a shooting.

Upon the officer’s arrival, they located 25-year-old Randy Croon suffering from a gunshot wound to his left cheek.

Croon stated he was standing in the rear of an address on Stevens Ave. when he heard a gunshot. Croon stated he started to run and he heard another gunshot. The 2nd gunshot struck him in the back of the neck and exited out of his left cheek. Croon stated he did not see who fired the gunshots at him or where the gunshots came from.

Croon was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
