Waterbury player wins $25K a year for life on Lucky for Life ticket

Waterbury, CT – A Waterbury resident has secured a life-changing prize after winning $25,000 a year for life on the multi-state Lucky for Life draw game, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at Dont Quit Smoke Waterbury Corp, a lottery retailer located in Waterbury. The winner, who has not been publicly identified, matched five numbers to claim the second-tier prize in the August 18 drawing. The top prize in Lucky for Life is $1,000 a day for life.

The Lucky for Life game offers winners the choice of annual payments or a one-time lump-sum payout. If the winner selects annual payments, they will receive $25,000 every year for the rest of their life. The odds of winning the $25,000-a-year prize are 1 in 1,813,028.

This win continues a streak of high-dollar prizes being claimed across Connecticut, where players regularly participate in both state and multi-state games through the Connecticut Lottery.
