26-Year-Old Bicyclist Critical After Crash in Hanover

HANOVER, MD – On Monday evening, a severe traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Arundel Mills Boulevard and Mills Drive in Hanover, involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle.

At approximately 7:10 p.m., Western District officers arrived at the scene where a 2017 Honda Accord, driven by a 57-year-old female from Baltimore, collided with a bicyclist.

Witness accounts suggest that the Honda was traveling east on Arundel Mills Boulevard with a green light when the bicyclist, a 26-year-old male from Glen Burnie, crossed into its path without yielding.

The bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment.

The Traffic Safety Section is currently investigating the incident.
