26-year-old man injured in Wilern Avenue shooting, police investigating

BALTIMORE, MD — A 26-year-old man is recovering from gunshot wounds after a shooting on Wilern Avenue on Sunday evening, according to Baltimore Police.

Northwest District officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Wilern Avenue at approximately 5:37 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from gunshot injuries.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and authorities confirmed his injuries were non-life-threatening.

Detectives from the Northwest District Shooting unit have taken over the investigation as they work to determine the events leading up to the shooting.
