CHICAGO, IL – A man rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon with a gunshot wound was later pronounced dead.
A male victim, aged 27, was shot in the chest while inside a residence located in the 400 block of W. 77th St. at approximately 1:36 p.m. on April 21, 2023. The victim was rushed to U of C Hospital and initially listed in critical condition. Sadly, the victim has since been pronounced dead.
At this time, no offenders are in custody, and area detectives have taken up the investigation. Further details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear. We will continue to update as information becomes available.
