Baltimore, MD – A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg in broad daylight Thursday afternoon in Southeast Baltimore, prompting a police investigation after the victim arrived at a nearby hospital seeking treatment.

The shooting occurred around 1:09 p.m. in the 700 block of North Port Street. While officers were en route to the scene, they received word of a walk-in gunshot victim at a local hospital. Officers met the victim there and confirmed he had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. He was listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the Southeast District Shooting Unit responded and have taken over the investigation. No arrests have been announced, and a motive has not been disclosed.
