27-year-old stabbed to death in Glenn Burnie

Glenn Burnie, MD – A suspect has been arrested for an early morning stabbing that happened in Glenn Burnie on Thursday.

Police have arrested 32-year-old Swayne Jay Powers, Jr and charged him for the stabbing death of 26-year-old Vincent Eugene Rawlings, III.

According to police, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a stabbing in the 7900 block of Benesch Circle.

Officers located Rawlings who was suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives said Rawlings and Powers had been engaged in a dispute earlier in the night.
