NEW YORK, NY – A 27-year-old woman was forcibly grabbed and groped aboard a New York City subway train in Manhattan. According to the New York City Police Department, a white male wearing a white New York Yankees hat with a white sweater over a white button-down shirt approached the woman at around 8:30 pm near Market Street and Madison Street and grabbed her.
The man grabbed the woman’s intimate parts and began kissing her. The suspect then fled the scene.
Women being groped on NYC trains has become commonplace over the past two years. Women are advised not to ride the NYC subway alone and to avoid being in situations where they are alone on a train without others.
