28-Year-Old Killed in Hit and Run in Cathedral Park

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a bicyclist near Cathedral Park in Philadelphia and fled the scene.

According to police, early Friday morning,  at 12:45 AM, an unknown person operating a dual rear wheel pick-up truck struck a bicyclist at the intersection of 52nd & Wyalusing Avenue causing fatal injuries then fleeing the scene and was last seen on Thompson Street.

The victim, a 28-year-old-male, was pronounced dead at the Presbyterian Hospital a short time later.
