28-Year-Old Man Shot in the Bronx DOA at Saint Barnabas Hospital

BRONX, N.Y. — A 28-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday evening in the Belmont section of the Bronx, authorities said.

Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:15 p.m. reporting a shooting outside 1295 Rodman Place, located within the confines of the 48th Precinct.

Officers arriving at the scene discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the face and chest, according to law enforcement.

The man was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The NYPD has not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending family notification. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
