3-Year-Old Boy Critical, 81-Year-Old Driver Unharmed in Pedestrian Crash

Evesham Township, NJ – On Wednesday at approximately 12:30 PM, the Evesham Police Department was dispatched to an accident site at Route 73 and Holtec Drive involving a pedestrian.

Officers found a 3-year-old boy from Lindenwold had been hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on Route 73. Emergency personnel from the Evesham Police and Fire Departments performed life-saving measures before the child was transported to Cooper Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The driver, an 81-year-old man from Cherry Hill, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. The Evesham Police Department’s Traffic Unit, Investigative Bureau, and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office are conducting a joint investigation into the collision. No charges or summonses have been issued yet.
