3-Year-Old Girl Struck by Hit and Run Moped Rider in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man and a moped scooter involved in a hit-and-run that left a 3-year-old girl with minor injuries in the Bronx on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 1:05 p.m. in front of 3041 Holland Avenue, where the child was walking on the sidewalk. Police said a two-wheeled moped scooter, operated by an unidentified male, struck the girl before fleeing northbound on Holland Avenue.

Emergency Medical Services transported the child to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where she was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a male with a heavy build and medium complexion. He was last seen wearing an orange jacket, black sweatpants, and black sandals. The moped scooter is described as blue with black stripes on the side.
