30-Year-Old Man Shot and Killed in Albany

ALBANY, NY – Albany Police are actively investigating a homicide following a shooting that transpired on North Swan Street on Sunday morning.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of North Swan Street and Third Street after receiving reports of a shooting incident. Upon arrival, they found evidence indicative of gunfire at the scene.

Shortly following the initial call, a 30-year-old male gunshot victim was located at Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead. The identity of the victim is being withheld until the necessary notifications to family members have been completed.

Preliminary findings from the investigation suggest that the individuals involved were acquainted with each other, and the incident is believed to be isolated. Albany Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are appealing to the public for any relevant information.
