30-year-old woman shot and killed in D.C. Friday night

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 30-year-old woman was shot and killed inside a car in Southeast D.C. Friday night. According to police, at around 8:20 pm, officers arrived on the scene after the report of an unresponsive woman with gunshot wounds inside a car on West street.

Detectives arrived at the scene of the shooting in the 1700 block of W Street, Southeast, to find an adult female victim inside of a vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

“DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the department said.

She was identified as 30-year-old Fajr Vallejos, of Southeast, DC.
