30-Year-Old Woman Shot In Alexandria, Suspect Arrested

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Police Department (APD) recently reported the arrest of city resident Jovan Saunders, 45, in connection to a shooting incident.

The 30-year-old female victim was admitted to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her lower body. The shooting reportedly occurred on the 300 block of East Raymond Avenue on Friday.

Saunders now faces charges of aggravated malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
