32-Year-Old man Fatally Shot in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 32-year-old man was shot and killed inside a building in Southeast D.C. early Wednesday morning. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting.

Just after 1:30 am, police arrived at the 4000 Block of 3rd Street to investigate a report of an unconscious person. Officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence in the building. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

32-year-old Richard Hendrix of D.C. was identified as the victim.
