32-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — A 32-year-old man was fatally shot on Thursday, according to police. Officers responded to the scene where they found the victim, identified as Rafael Vasquez, unconscious and unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his face and back.

Emergency Medical Services transported Vasquez to Saint Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
