39-Year-Old Shot and Killed While Sitting in Car in McKees Rocks with Friends

McKees Rocks, PA – Police in Allegheny County are investigating a shooting murder that took place early Tuesday morning on Island Avenue in McKees Rocks.

Police said when they arrived at the location after a shooting was reported at 2:05 am, they discovered multiple shell casings in the area.

“Officers then received a call for a motor vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Island Avenue. There they found a 39-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died,” the Allegheny County Police Department said. “Homicide detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. Detectives learned the victim and three other adults were sitting in a parked vehicle when the shooting occurred. The victim vehicle fled the area eventually striking a pole in the 1400 block of Island Avenue.”

Currently, there are no suspects and the motive is unclear.
