40 Year-Old Man Shot To Death In Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 40 year-old man was shot on Friday night in Northwest D.C. The victim died from his injuries. Detectives from the Washington D.C. Metro Police Homicide Unit are investigating this incident, which happened on the 1300 block of 5th Street.

Police say, “At approximately 11:45 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for an investigate the trouble call for service. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.”

40-year-old Keith Allen, of Northwest, D.C. was identified as the victim.
