42nd Street Subway attacker sought by NYPD

NEW YORK, NY – The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in locating an individual connected to an assault at the East 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue subway station today. At approximately 1:04 AM, a 63-year-old male was engaged in a verbal dispute with an unknown individual, who then struck the victim with an expandable baton as the victim attempted to leave the station.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to NYU Langone Hospital in stable condition.
