FREDERICK, MD — A $500,000-winning Powerball Double Play ticket was sold at a Wawa store located at 5440 Urbana Pike in Frederick County for the Wednesday, September 25 drawing. The ticket matched all five white balls—06, 32, 51, 62, and 69—along with the Double Play Powerball number 26, securing the second-tier prize.

This is the sixth second- or third-tier Double Play winning ticket sold in Maryland this year. In Wednesday’s drawing, Maryland saw 1,359 other Double Play winners, with prizes ranging from $7 to $500,000. Players who added the Double Play feature to their Powerball tickets had a second opportunity to win with the same numbers for just $1 more.

No jackpot or second-tier winners emerged in Maryland from the regular Powerball drawing. However, 11,510 players secured prizes ranging from $4 to $200. The Powerball jackpot for the Saturday, September 28 drawing now stands at an estimated $243 million annuity, with a cash option of $122.2 million. Players are encouraged to check their tickets carefully and play responsibly
