WESTMINSTER, MD — A Carroll County woman is celebrating a $50,000 top-prize win after matching all five numbers in the Maryland Lottery’s Bonus Match 5 drawing.
The lucky winner, who chose to remain anonymous under the alias “I Played, I Won,” claimed the prize after the winning ticket hit on the Nov. 10 drawing. She purchased the ticket at the 7-Eleven located at 353 Baltimore Boulevard in Westminster.
A longtime fan of the Bonus Match 5 game, the Westminster retail worker shared that she has consistently played for years and often selects multiple lines with a mix of past winning numbers and random picks. This time, it was one of her random selections that delivered the top prize.
The winner previously experienced success with lower-tier prizes, including a notable $4,400 win after matching four numbers across multiple tickets. However, this marks her first time hitting the game’s highest prize.
