$50K scratch-off ticket sold in New Albany

NEW ALBANY, OH — A lucky Ohio Lottery player has won $50,000 after purchasing a Billion scratch-off ticket at Turkey Hill Mini Market #721, located at 9880 Johnstown Road in New Albany, Lottery officials announced Friday.

The winner, whose identity has not been revealed, will take home approximately $36,000 after mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent.

Billion is a $50 scratch-off game featuring a top prize of $1,000,000 a year for 20 years. As of November 21, 2024, three top prizes remain unclaimed in the game, along with thousands of smaller prizes, including $50,000 payouts.

Lottery players are encouraged to check their tickets carefully and visit the Ohio Lottery’s website for more information on how to claim their prizes.
