WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 55-year-old man was fatally shot on Tuesday night in Northeast D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting.
Shortly before 11 pm, officers arrived at the 1700 block of North Capitol Street to investigate a report of a man down. At the location, police found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and succumbed to his injuries yesterday.
55-year-old Elias Key, of D.C> was identified as the victim.
