56-Year-Old Man Injured in Bronx Robbery

Bronx, NY – On Sunday, July 7, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a 56-year-old male was assaulted and robbed near East 167 Street and Teller Avenue. An unidentified male approached the victim from behind, striking him on the side of his head, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The assailant then forcibly took the victim’s cellphone and wallet before fleeing to an unknown location.

The victim suffered a laceration and bruising to his face and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln by EMS for treatment. The police are investigating the incident and seeking information to identify the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
