56-Year-Old Man Knocked Out Cold, Robbed in the Bronx

BRONX, NY — An assault incident has prompted the New York City Police Department to request public assistance in identifying a suspect. The attack occurred on Monday at about 9:40 AM in front of 1985 Westchester Avenue.

According to reports, a 55-year-old man was approached from behind by an unidentified individual who pushed him to the ground. The victim hit his head, lost consciousness, and was later transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition by EMS. The assailant fled eastbound on Westchester Avenue on foot.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, around 30 years old, weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and blue shorts. The NYPD urges anyone with information to come forward to aid in the capture of the suspect involved in this violent act.
