58-year-old man killed in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – A 58-year-old male, identified as James Keitt, was found unconscious and unresponsive inside apartment #3C at 135 Elmira Loop in Brooklyn, NY, on Sunda at around 7:40 a.m.

Police were called to the scene following a 911 call reporting an aided individual. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with facial bruising. Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly after and pronounced Keitt deceased at the scene.

Further investigation into the incident revealed that the victim had been involved in a dispute with another male inside the apartment prior to the assault.

The suspect allegedly punched Keitt before fleeing the scene. Following the assault, Keitt went to sleep and later lost consciousness.

The authorities have now classified the incident as a homicide.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
