MALIBU, CA – A group of partygoers crowded an oceanfront home in Malibu and it was more than their outdoor deck could handle. The deck crashed 15 feet down seriously injuring two and injuring four others. The collapse was caught on camera by the neighbor’s home security video system. The deck crashed down into the jagged rocks below.
The homeowner rented the home to a group of young people who guaranteed that no more than six people would occupy the home and parties were not allowed. Balcony collapses are not uncommon during parties of younger people, particularly during prom season.
