Utica, NY – On Thursday evening, police responded to an assault incident on Smith Place. The victim was engaged in an altercation with a male, leading to injuries caused by the suspect striking the victim with a large tree branch. The victim was taken to Wynn Hospital for treatment.
Investigators detained the suspect at the scene.
Artilla Greene, 60 years old, was charged with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. The investigation is ongoing, and the victim is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
