CHESAPEAKE CITY, MD – An anonymous Eastern Shore resident claimed a $630,000 jackpot prize from the Multi-Match lottery on October 12. The win was announced after the winner, accompanied by his wife, visited the Maryland Lottery Winner’s Circle.

The winner, who started playing Multi-Match earlier this year, purchased the ticket from Eagles Nest in Chesapeake City. He spent $10 on a ticket that combined personal and quick-pick numbers. The realization of the win came days later when he checked the ticket in his living room, discovering one of the quick-pick lines matched all six winning numbers.

The couple initially reacted with disbelief, verifying the win together before placing the ticket in a safe. They have chosen to keep their win confidential from family and friends, focusing on celebrating privately. The prize money will be saved in the bank.

Eagles Nest, the retailer where the winning ticket was sold, is located at 2754 Augustine Herman Highway. The store receives a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for the sale. This marks the ninth Multi-Match jackpot-winning ticket sold in 2023.
