65-Year-Old Reported Missing in Newark

NEWARK, NJ – A 65-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s has gone missing in Newark. Now, Interim Newark Public Safety Director Raul Malave seeks the public’s help in locating Angel Caraballo, 65, of Newark, who was reported missing today.

“Mr. Caraballo, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was last seen at approximately 7 a.m. at Summer Avenue near Crane Street. He is described as 5’5” tall and 130 pounds. He has a light complexion, gray hair, and brown eyes. Mr. Caraballo may be wearing transition glasses,” Malave said. “Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly locating Mr. Caraballo so that he can be returned to his family.”

Interim Director Malave urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Angel Caraballo to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
