67-Year-Old Man Victim in Unprovoked Attack in the Bronx

NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department is actively seeking the public’s assistance in locating an individual in connection with a reported assault that occurred in the 44 Precinct.

On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, around 11:25 a.m., a 67-year-old man was approached and subsequently assaulted near East 166th Street and Walton Avenue. After the assailant punched the man in the face, the victim fell, hitting his head on the ground. The attacker immediately fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on Walton Avenue. Emergency services promptly transported the injured man to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he remains in stable condition.

The suspected assailant is described as a male of dark complexion. Authorities provided a description of his attire during the incident: black pants, a green jacket, and distinctive orange shoes. The NYPD urges anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.
