MCKEESPORT, PA – A 68-year-old woman was shot in the arm while sitting on her front porch while he’s shooting occurred in the neighborhood in McKeesport on Sunday.
According to police, at approximately 5:26 pm, McKeesport officers received a shot spotter alert which notified them of a shooting in the 1100 block of Craig Street.
“First responders found a 68-year-old female victim shot in the arm. The victim was sitting on her porch when the shooting occurred,” police said. “Two homes and three vehicles were struck by gunfire. Investigators recovered over 30 spent casings which were a mix of rifle and handgun”
The preliminary investigation shows the shooters were on foot and targeting a home other than the victims. Homicide detectives initiated an investigation.
According to police investigating the incident, no suspects or motives have been announced at this time. No arrests have been made.
