70-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed While Walking in Harrison

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An elderly man was killed Friday evening after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Freeport Road and California Avenue, according to Allegheny County Police.

The incident occurred around 6:18 p.m., when County 911 received a report of a pedestrian accident. First responders arrived to find a man in his 70s deceased at the scene. The driver, an adult male, remained at the location and cooperated with authorities.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide and Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident. Detectives have not released further details about the circumstances of the crash as the investigation is in its early stages.

No charges have been announced, and authorities have not yet identified the victim.
