NEW YORK, NY – On Monday, April 17, 2023, at around 1:42 pm, an unknown individual was reported to the New York City Police Department for grand larceny within the 72nd Precinct. A 73-year-old woman reported that her unattended purse was stolen from a laundromat at 565 5 Avenue.
The purse contained a cellphone, roughly $40 in cash, identification documents, and credit and debit cards. The woman later noticed unauthorized charges totalling approximately $468 on her cards.
