75-Year-Old Woman Dragged by Car in New Jersey Library Parking Lot by 94-Year-Old Driver

Paramus, NJ – A 75-year-old woman from Paramus was seriously injured after being struck and dragged by a car in the Paramus Public Library parking lot on Saturday, according to local police.

The incident, which police Chief Robert M. Guidetti described as distressing, occurred around 12:45 p.m. as the woman crossed the parking lot. She was dragged 20 feet by the vehicle before it came to a stop.

The victim suffered significant injuries and was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center in a semi-alert state for treatment.

Despite the severity of the incident, no immediate charges have been filed against the 94-year-old driver, also a resident of Paramus. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
