One Victim Slashed on Subway Train in Midtown

NEW YORK, NY – In the early hours of Tuesday, a 22-year-old male became the victim of a violent altercation while aboard a northbound “A” train at the 72nd Street station.

An unknown male engaged the victim in a verbal dispute before revealing a box cutter and slashing the victim in the head.

Following the attack, the assailant promptly exited the train and disappeared on foot, his current whereabouts unknown.

The victim, although suffering from the slash wound, incurred only minor injuries. Emergency Medical Services treated him at the scene.

The police are actively seeking the assailant. He is described as a male of dark complexion. Witnesses noted his distinctive attire: a black bucket hat, a purple sweatshirt, gray pants, and matching purple socks.
