Boston Police Arrest Teen on Gun Charge

Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested 18-year-old Sean Blackwell on firearm-related charges around 6:30 PM on Thursday, April 18. The arrest took place in the vicinity of 32 Forest Street where officers noticed a group gathering and one individual exhibiting suspicious behavior.

Upon closer inspection, officers discovered a weighted object in the suspect’s jacket, leading to the recovery of a Taurus firearm with ammunition. Blackwell was taken into custody and is facing charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. His arraignment is scheduled to take place in Roxbury District Court.
