DENVER, PA – Reyes Eduardo Ramirez, a 36-year-old Reading resident, was recently charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct following an incident at the Acme Distribution Center located at 500 South Muddy Creek Road
. On March 9th, 2023, at approximately 8:45 am, Ramirez reportedly attacked his immediate supervisor, punching him several times in the back of the head and continuing the assault after the supervisor fell to the ground.
Numerous employees intervened and pulled Ramirez off of his supervisor. Ramirez has been sent a summons to appear in District Court.
The Acme Distribution Center has not released any statements regarding the incident or any potential changes in its workplace policies in response to the attack.
