Active Investigation at Linda Pedersen Park Following Apparent Suicide Attempt

Deputies are currently on scene at Linda Pedersen Park on Shoal Line Boulevard conducting an investigation into what appears to be a Suicide Attempt.

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL — The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation at Linda Pedersen Park on Shoal Line Boulevard, following what appears to be a suicide attempt.

According to the latest updates, deputies responded to the scene and found a victim who has since been transported to a local trauma center for treatment. The condition of the victim is not yet known.

As the investigation continues, the crime scene remains active. Consequently, portions of Linda Pedersen Park may be temporarily closed to the public until the crime scene investigation is completed.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released further details regarding the incident at this time. They are urging visitors and residents to avoid the area around the ongoing investigation and to respect any closures or instructions provided by law enforcement personnel.
