Akron Police Seek Public Assistance in Theft Case

AKRON, OH – The Akron Police Department is actively investigating a case of theft that took place on May 19.

The unidentified suspect is reported to have used a fraudulent passport to make a significant withdrawal from a victim’s bank account.

The department has released images of the individual in question.

Detective R. Bassett of the Akron Police Department is leading the investigation. Anyone with valuable information about the suspect or the incident is asked to reach out at 330-375-2600.
