Akron Resident Wins $10K on Billion Scratch-Off

AKRON, OH— An Ohio Lottery player from Akron recently struck it lucky with a $10,000 win on the Billion scratch-off ticket. The winning ticket was purchased at Short Stop, located at 1690 Massillon Road in Akron.

After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings, the winner will take home approximately $7,200.

Billion, a $50 scratch-off game, offers a top prize of $1 million per year for 20 years. As of August 15, three top prizes remain available in the game.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $32 billion to education across the state.
