Albany man stabbed to death in New York City

NEW YORK — A 44-year-old man was fatally stabbed early Monday inside a Brooklyn apartment, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 12:47 a.m. and arrived at 406 Van Siclen Avenue in East New York, where they found Jermaine Morant, 44, with a stab wound to the chest.

EMS transported Morant, a resident of Albany, to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
