Alexandria Police Investigate Homicide on Dewitt Avenue

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday, in the 2700 block of Dewitt Avenue.

Responding to a call around 4:27 PM, officers discovered a 38-year-old male victim, deceased from an apparent stabbing.

The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause and manner of death.

While a suspect is in custody, the threat to public safety is deemed non-existent.

Detective Matthew Kramarik is leading the investigation, and the department asks anyone with information to come forward.
