Animal lovers can now take shelter dogs for a day out with Allegany County Animal Shelter’s “Hounds Around Town” program. This initiative allows individuals to take an adoptable shelter dog out for the day, giving them much-needed breaks from the kennels and providing enrichment and socialization.
Whether it is a long walk, hike, or a leisurely afternoon lounging on a couch, individuals can enjoy the beautiful mountains of Western Maryland while providing a fun-filled day for these furry friends. To participate in the program, contact the shelter at 301-777-5930.
